About Naas Racecourse

Naas Racecourse is a racecourse which can be found in the county town of Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. It’s approximately 18 miles Southeast of Dublin with many of the locals there commuting into Dublin for work each day. Not only does Naas have a local population of around 18,000; but given that it’s just 20 minutes away from Dublin it sees large attendances to its events every race day.

Naas Racecourse was built by the Naas Races Company in 1922; and its first meeting was held on the 19th June 1924. This has already spurred the owners to begin preparations for a celebration event to mark the 100th Anniversary which will be taking place in 2024.

Naas Racecourse offers up both flat and national hunt racing on its track; with around 15 race day meetings taking place each year. The course here is run left handed across a distance of one mile and four furlongs. This also includes an uphill finish with a long run in.
