The big Tricast betting payout bet

Tricast betting is incredibly popular in both horse racing and dog racing alike. The reason for this is because the payouts from these bets are a lot bigger than simply betting on a winner. A tricast bet only takes place across one race; however you will be picking more than one horse in the race. Basically, with tricast betting you’ll be betting on who you think will finish in the top three of a race. It doesn’t matter if there’s 6 or 60 in a race, you can make a tricast bet in each one.

Of course the higher number of entries into a race the better the odds you’ll get as it’s harder to predict. You also get better odds from tricast betting than a regular bet due to the fact it’s much harder to pick who will finish in the top three as opposed to who will finish in the top one. What makes tricast betting even better though is there’s a couple of ways this bet can be done.

The Tricast variations

There’s actually three ways you can make a tricast bet down the bookies; some paying more than others. The first type of tricast betting is picking which three horses will finish in the top three; and which order they’ll finish in as well. This is the highest paying tricast bet out there so if you’re going for glory you may want to think about this bet.

The second type of tricast bet out there is pretty similar to the first. Once again you select which three horses you think will finish in the top three of a race; except this time you don’t have to select an order. Any order will do so long as all three of them finish in the top three. This doesn’t pay out as much as selecting which order but it still pays out pretty well.

The final type of tricast bet is the combination bet. This is only really used in races with a high number of participants due to its nature. You can select four or five horses with this tricast bet instead of the regular three. If any three of the horses you selected finish in the top three then you win your bet!

All in all tricast betting is a great way for you to place your bets if you’re looking for a big win. Not only does it make your payouts bigger than usual but it also makes the race you’re watching more exciting too!
